This Bag is phenomenal - I use it for DJing and pack about $3,500 worth of mic cables, power cables, extension cords, tapes, adapters, etc. - I have approximately 75 pounds of gear in this bag! It is durable, the zippers are strong, the telescopic pull handle is tough and the wheels are great so far. The only improvement I would make is to put another padded handle on the opposite site of the telescopic handle for picking this bag up with both arms...most folks would most likely use the duffle-style straps but if the bag is really loaded it's easier for a two-man lift.
I'm obviously pressing the limits on this bag and I'm really impressed so far...I use it multiple times each weekend so I will update this in a year or two!

I can't review the durability of this item, but I can review the item as I received it in the mail and unboxed it. I'll just do quick pros and cons.

Pros:
-Lightweight (I was surprised how light it feels)
-Overall good quality materials and adequate stitching (not super impressed, but definitely better than the cheapest luggage)
-Nice zippers and parts, including the telescoping handle, which is both lightweight and fairly sturdy.
-Beautiful functional design that acts like both a suitcase and a duffel (ultimately the shape and softsidedness of the bag are much more duffel-like than suitcase-like).
-Oddly enough, there is a zipper (without a pull) in the bottom that allows you to stash something small (especially if it's flat) between the bottom of the bag and the liner. I'd say that's kind of cool. I would not recommend putting anything illegal in there. I think the security agencies are a little smarter than that.

Cons:
-A few quality control issues. For example, one of the metal rivets is rusty. The bag was shipped to me directly from High Sierra (no middle man seller). Why is there rust on it? There are also some loose threads hanging off. It just speaks of a company that is rolling the goods off the assembly line in China (where the bag is made) as quickly as possible. I should pay more money for high quality goods, but I do expect the quality control to be as near perfect as possible for a bag that costs as much as this one does.
-As others have mentioned, the bag is unlikely to stand tall on its end. I'm not sure why designers don't make them with that in mind.
-The wheels seem to be 100% plastic (except for the little "tires" on them).

Perfect bag for a long trip. Airplanes only allow 50lbs and this bag holds that much with a little room for gifts. I have bought 3 of these for family members in the last 2 months. Great for a cruise also. For trains, this may be a little big though

Still struggling to find the perfect rolling duffel bag. This one isn't it. It's very attractive and plenty big and the zippers work fine. It's so big that if you completely fill it you likely will go over the 50 lb airline weight limit for overweight charges. That's not a problem, just my observation.

Insanely, one end does not have a grip handle, making it next to impossible to hoist a heavy bag into a car trunk or baggage check in without grasping at the center straps or fumbling. This alone disqualifies it from consideration. How could it have gone into production with this flaw? No other duffel bag I've found does not have two handles, one on each end.

As others have pointed out, the bag does not have stabilizers on the wheeled end, so it will immediately tip over if you try to stand it on end. Momentarily standing on end is extremely common when wheeling the bag to a train station, airport or hotel check in. Instead you will have to find a wall or post to lean it against. This is the only wheeled duffel bag lacking the ability to stand upright and is another deal-breaker.

Finally, after a few months of sustained use -- I am a freelance writer and photographer and place tripod, monopod, heads, heavy lenses, steel toed work boots, etc in the bottom -- the wheel axle splayed and now the two wheels lean in toward the bag. Still wheels, but is very disappointing and does not indicate robust construction.

I am not returning it as I can use it for other purposes, like packing clothes for a move, but I would not purchase this product if I knew then what I know now.

I spend months on the road so I use this on long travel trips which I have to fly on. The bag is good but the airlines 50lbs domestic flight limit means I can only pack the bag about 50% - 75% full, so I have a lot of wasted space in the bag. With 90% of my travel being domestic, I'm wishing I went with a smaller bag. All I'm packing is clothes and 2 pairs of shoes. With international flights having the higher weight limit, I can actually use the full bag. In addition the handle Velcro is a little cheap. Every time I lift the bag by the handles, the Velcro comes undone and the handle straps fall to the sides. I ended up just using D clips or sometimes I throw on cable ties as I carry those for my job. Aside from those stated issues, bag is durable and no issues rolling or pushing the bag. I've taken 20 flights this year with this bag and it holds up with baggage handlers always throwing it on the bottom or upside down on the conveyor belts.
