Perfect size to go out for a day hike.

I like the water bottle that comes with the product, as it fits nicely with the bungee chord.

I bought the Solo, Express and the Ridgeline to see the actual difference in sizes. As others have said, all 3 products are very well constructed and should last. The Solo is a nice small "fanny" pack that will have obvious limitations. Having a 30" waist, the pack had no issues with fit, but I did have issue with the angle of the water bottle. Since I am an arm swinger when I walk, I always hit the bottle. I wrapped a pillow around my waist to simulate a bigger mid-section and the angle of the bottle didn't matter. Wearing the pack in the front fixes the bottle problem, but if you want to sit down, then you have to take the pack off. Like others have mentioned, the pocket is small and doesn't expand very well. It fits my wallet, Samsung Galaxy, a few keys, and a snack bar that gets somewhat squished. I am going to return the Solo as it just doesn't work quite right for me. I still give it 5 stars due to it being a quality product and filling a niche for a lot of people. I can't really ding it any stars due to it not working for me specifically.

After reading too many reviews, I was expecting my HSSHP to hold a key and a kleenex and for my elbows to send the jiggling water bottle flying out of its holder! I must say I was happily impressed. If you arent expecting a backpack, you wont be disappointed. Roomy pouch. Bottle stays put nicely. Did not even really realize it was there much less hit it with my arms. Nice quality- no complaints. I take it on short (less than 3 hour) walks/hikes. I think some people treat it like carry on luggage and try to pack a weekend worth of gear.

I bought this pack to take with me while I go running and walking. It fits my phone, keys, and headphones perfectly with plenty of room to spare and is made of really durable material. The water bottle it comes with is a fantastic added feature and makes carrying my water so much easier. The pack fits comfortably around my waist (even though personally I prefer to wear it around my lower back) and the adjustable straps allow me to share the pack with different family members who use it as well. Worth every dollar!

So I bought like 4 Sierra packs at the same time intending to keep one. This is the champ. The others were Passport, Express, and Envoy. I have nothing against the others, they all had pros. I wanted something to fit a good sized journal or sketch pad while not taking up too much real estate. The Solo does not get in the way of swinging arms and is wide and stable to stay put on a glute. That being typed they should have given it a bit more stability with a belt system like the Envoy or Express and I wish it was a inch bigger all the way around. I have used it for 4 hr hikes and had enough room for things. Any longer and I think I would take my hydration pack. I position it on a hip and with not much weight in it I can run comfortably. I have used the headphone hole and its actually convenient. It has a off-center center divider so a smart screen does not get scratched. The belt buckle is cool. It can not be attached 180 degrees from the correct alignment. A nice light day hiker.

I thought this would be good for hiking. Didn't realize how big it is. I bought my husband the one with two bottles and this one for me to carry snacks in the bottle while he carries the 2 water bottles in the dual pack. Keep in mind that these High Sierra Hydration Packs are enormous and to me 5'2" it looks like a small backpack would have been about the same. Because it is so big, it will have to be worn on the lower back which I prefer a smaller pack to wear in front so I can reach my camera easier. It has a lot of tightening buckles, which adds to the bulk, but they don't seem to be big enough for anything useful to me like to hang a jacket. Not sure how much I am going to like this big thing. I'll get back to you. I think I prefer a small backpack and a small fanny pack.

I use this for short runs and usually stuff it with a towel, house keys and some money; that's as much as you'll get from storage space. There's not much room for anything else...

I've used this often enough from walk/runs in the park, hiking in the mountains and using it as a man-purse during my vacation. I would give it 5 stars but the only thing I noticed is if you overpack the pack, it will not conform flat to your back, rather it kind of bulges. Basically don't try to cram too much stuff into your pack. Space was good enough for a wallet, pen, loose change and barely enough room for your sunglass case. I like the water bottle that comes with the product, as it fits nicely with the bungee chord. I ran with this and the water bottle, and it is not that comfortable (bounces too much). Lastly the straps snap tightly, so it is a nice secure fit. The adjustable part of the straps will loosen up as you wear it and walk/run. There are these black strap holders to "tie" the extra length of strap, but I found that it sometimes comes off (not a big deal). Bottom line, I am happy with the product and the cost that I paid.

Took this on a six mile hike was actually more comfortable and roomier than I could of imagined. Great value for what you get. Suggested to friends.
