4.0 out of 5 stars cheap well made backpack, some short comings, September 19, 2007
everything seems to be made very well, the zippers operate smoothly and there is alot of space in the main compartment. the access to the main compartment is alittle small which makes bigger items that could fit in the main compartment a pain because of the small opening access. otherwise for the price... a steal. good man bag ;)

4.0 out of 5 stars Not the color I wanted, but a nice pack, August 14, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: High Sierra Metra Backpack (Sports)
Please note! There are two different pink shade thumbnails on Amazon for this pack. I thought I was getting the pale pink, since it is described as "blush." I got the darker pink--I suppose it might be plum? I don't know. I need it for Sunday, so I won't bother exchanging. It is larger than it appears on the site, but that's a good thing. Plenty of room inside for a sweater, cap, my dog's folding water bowl. A nice pocket on the strap that fits a cell phone--some organizer pockets under a zip flap for essentials and car keys! The perfect dog walking pack for those too thin for a fanny pack! I purchased water bottles separately, and the mesh pockets intended for bottles seem amply sized.

5.0 out of 5 stars great item, December 20, 2006

This is a great item for carrying essentials on a hike or just stepping outside. A waterbottle, towel, a sandwich, a multitool - all the basics and you are ready to hit the trail. Loved it. I wish the chain on the side would open a bit more.
