Got this pack to take on a hiking trip for my friend's bachelor weekend. It's a great great great hydration pack, and it had exactly what i needed it for. I absolutely loved the slide-lock reservoir and the hidden shoulder strap that the hose goes into. This was a major factor in my search for a pack, because i've used my friends and tried on other packs and the hose has always gotten in my way when it comes time to run and do other physical activities. Also the shoulder strap keeps the hose cool which helps when you need a quick burst of water, and dont want it to come out all hot and nasty.
UPDATE: I lowered a star due to the terrible weave construction on the slidelock reservoir, which broke on me, spilling all the water into the backpack, my back and my shorts.

Hydration pack is well made, perfect for a long hike, trail biking or a day on the chairs in the snow. Construction is rugged (High Sierra know for great sturdy baggage) As an alternative to Camel it works awesome. Works especially for those value conscious and less concerned with branding. Best features would be the chest buckle to keep the bag from shifting, the hidden hose strap(so it's not floppin around when not used) and the dozens of pockets all over the pack to hold small to medium sized gear. Can't speak for the helmet holder set-up, but it's exactly what I was looking for...buy one now. No regrets.

I wanted a pack for hiking but what I was mostly concerned with is the water bladder itself. The bladder (2L) is awesome. I've had the ones that have the screw on lid - which are good, but a pain in the rear end to clean. This one has a slide locking mechanism on the top that you just slide the clip off and the entire top of the bladder is accessible for cleaning, it's freakin' sweet!
The pack itself it excellent. Really heavy duty and I can fit quite a lot of things in it. My last day hike I was able to carry a large hardback book, a snack, my hammock, med kit, leather man, fire steel, iodine tablets...and the list goes on.
I have zero complaints about this item. You shant be disappointed if you buy. It's a great pack for a great price. Most of the Camelbaks I've seen are double the price with less space, and IMHO, a terribly designed water bladder.
