Great for a weekend traveler.

Additionally, even though the main bag has a support for the front when standing, the bag tends to tip over to the front very easily with the day pack loaded.

This review is for the High Sierra AT-Go wheeled back pack which splits into two bags (I can't remember the exact model number though). I took bag this with me on it's maiden trip to the UK and offshore on an oil rig in the North Sea recently. It's really strong and surprisingly light. I haven't weighed it, but it feels like less than 5 lbs. I was able to stick my 14.1" laptop and A4-sized diary in it with a full change of clothes and extra underwear in the main section. I stuck my ipad and a couple other bits of clothing in the front compartment as well. I could quickly access both laptop and ipad when going through security lines at the airport x-ray machines. The bag has some very sturdy back-straps that I've used with the bag loaded at about 30 odd pounds. Trying to pull a bag on each side of you through crowded airports is always a challenge, so slinging this one on my back allowed me to move alot quicker, plus free up one hand to hold anything else. Although, the padding in that strap is not very thick, so it gets to hurting your shoulder after a while. Note - you've got the be in fair physical shape to take advantage of this feature, especially if the bag is loaded up. I used it as my carry on. The whole thing won't fit in the carry-on bag sizer when it's stuffed. However, the neat feature of being able to take the small day pack off the front allows it to fit in overhead bins. The day pack comes off really quickly. However, it is tricky to align the zip to mount it back onto the bag. One of the side water bottle pocket netting is letting go from the elastic, but that may be due to me trying to stuff too much of a fat bottle in there! Additionally, even though the main bag has a support for the front when standing, the bag tends to tip over to the front very easily with the day pack loaded.Read more ›

I bought this luggage for my 1-week Europe trip which I had to move around a lot. This bag is perfect!! I can fit all my stuff into the bag. The size is just right. I could move around the city the train without any problem. While my friends were having trouble carrying their bags up on the stairs, I used its backpack feature and walked smoothly up to the hostel room. The carry-on also has great wheel. I dragged this luggage on difference surfaces for the whole week and the wheeled never upsets me.

The daypack is great. I love the top pocket that is not too deep but wide. I put my sunglass, tickets, and camera there for easy access. The main compartment of the dayback is roomy enough for me to put small umbrella, jacket, letter size document, and couple other small items with no problem. The back of the daypack has a stripe where I could easily slide the handle of the carry-on into it. It's just another way to attach the daypack and the carry-on when I am in a hurry.

I received a lot of compliment from my friends during the trip. Everybody wants one of this bag!! I highly recommend this luggage to anyone who is looking for durable, mobile, and stylish carry-on size luggage!!

This bag is the perfect size for carry-on, and is big enough to hold what you need for at least a 3-day weekend. The removable back-pack is very handy and easy to put on and take off. We had two of these suitcases, and the handle finally broke on one (after many years of use), and we replaced it right away. Can't travel without it!

I used this as a carry-on on a trip to the Mediterranean and it served me well. I was able to use the backpack on excursions and the whole thing is quite well made as I put it to the test bumping up and down curbs and stairs. At one point I had to kneel on it as I had it full and the zipper held!

I was looking for a backpack style carry-on so that I could easily carry it through turnstiles and on and off subways, but I also wanted the choice of the wheels for heavy loads. I did some research, chose this, and purchased one for myself and one for my boyfriend. After 2 trips the wheels on one became wobble-y when they're attaching plastic began to come loose from the main body of the bag. The rest of the bag held up nicely and still looks great, but I doubt that the wheels would last another trip. They're also pretty uncomfortable to carry as a backpack.

I'm writing this in the airport.

So far I'm really thrilled with this luggage. The different organizational options are terrific. Getting to the airport was a breeze with the two (main bag and daypack) attached together. When I got to the gate, I unzipped the daypack (with the iPad I'm writing this on, a book, cell phone, adapters, ear plugs, eye mask, lip balm, and plenty of room for more stuff) and slid it onto the retractable handle.

The handle does wobble a little, but I seem to remember that was also the situation with my last carry-on (which I never used because I started carrying a laptop backpack). Incidentally I did test the daypack at home with the laptop and it was fine, although obviously heavier.

Anyway, on the plane the main bag had no trouble going into the overhead of a smaller US Airways plane, and the daypack went under the seat in front of me with plenty of room (esp. versus my bulkier laptop backpack, which is still great for other situations).

Also wanted to mention the daypack has pockets in all the perfect places: for example, a tiny pocket where I put my ID and boarding passes, and another pocket for adapters within easy reach. And then another pocket for keys, the lip balm, tissues, sunglasses, eyeglasses, etc.: really a lot of room for more.

The best part is the main bag has room for my pajamas, 4 pairs of socks and underwear, all toiletries, a couple of shirts, and a couple more books. This has been my first attempt traveling with enough stuff for a week in a carry-on, and this made it happen effortlessly.

And if I ever went someplace where I needed take trains, like India, the whole thing could convert to a giant backpack!
