Superb, well constructed duffel but weight as portrayed by Amazon is incorrect; product is 30+% heavier. I like this duffel but as purchase was weight-dependent, would urge persons to confirm veracity of dimensions and weight with future purchases.

I bought this for my daughter's trips, including an international trip to see our family, school trips for a few days, and summer camps.

We love it. The fabrics and the construction seem very sturdy. Wheels are smooth. It has a few sections for shoes and other dirty items. It has a huge opening in a few ways, that helps to reach items in the wide bag space. Price is right, too.

Only regret is that it doesn't stand. For an international trip, it's better at airport to let it stand rather than laying down that takes much space and for other travelers possibly trip over it. I don't like that if it's for my use, because I have to bend my body to scoop the handle from the ground? No way...

Hope this helps others to consider before purchasing.

The High Sierra Duffel was a surprise. Not only is it light-weight, but it is made of very durable material, and has organization. I never would have thought of a duffel as I have always had a regular suitcase. At 73 years of age, I had considered the duffel bag to belong to the younger set who often throw their clothes into it in a haphazard manner.
I was able to organize different types of clothing with the use of the three large outer pockets and either fold or roll the rest inside the very large main compartment. I packed everything needed for a close to three week trip and then was able to bring it to my nearest FEDEX shipping outlet. My other case was 17 lbs. unfilled, but this is only 7 lbs. This lowered weight made a significant difference and cost me less at FEDEX than if I had taken the two bags necessary to check-in with at the airport. I am very pleased with it. If you do go ground at any of the delivery companies, be sure to do it in plenty of time to get where you are going.

The bag is large and very functional, I really like it. However, it seems quite poorly made: it tore on my first trip - my finger went straight through the stitching as I was carrying it. My previous duffel bag (another brand) lasted 10+ years of sometimes very rough conditions, it's very disappointing to see this one fail so soon. Not recommended.

Good: Decent quality material and wheels. Good size and interior dimensions.

Bad: My single significant complaint -- it has NO handle at the wheeled end of the bag. When loaded, the absence of a handle makes the bag very difficult to lift. The lack of a handle is a significant oversight in the design, and limits the utility and desirability of this bag.

I looked at the dimensions for this bag on the High Sierra site they state that the bag is 15 in wide not 9 in. It also weighs 11lbs.

Just perfect for all the extra stuff I bought while in the USA. Easy access from the top. End pockets are really part of the main storage but still useful for odd items. Tough material and zip. No marks from the two flights it has been on so far. Can't wait to use it again next year.High Sierra 32" Wheeled Duffel

I loved this duffel bag until I actually used it. You can put a ton of stuff in there and it seems never ending. I just keep stuffing more in it. However, after 1 flight there was fraying on the piping and one of the zippers on the ends was sticking. Took it on one more trip, by car, and the zipper is very difficult to open and close. By the way, it is not from stuffing a lot in the main compartment. This is on the end pocket and was not stuffed very full at all. Would not recommend.

During my frequent travels to Afghanistan, I've owned 3 HS rolling duffels. Each one has eventually broken at the frame. To their credit HS did send me a replacement frame but, I'm still very disappointed in the frame design. They would be better off using carbon fiber or a more flexible frame material. My zippers have also failed due to the lack of scuff protection on the wheels side. I recommend the bag for loads of less than 30lbs. My bags are consistently around 50lbs and exceed the working load of the frame.

I am on my first leg of my trip from Iraq to Chicago and so far the quality is good. I just bought a J-world bag and it didn't last one trip b-4 it fell apart!!! My only complaints are there is no shoulder strap, the handle could be longer, and the end compartment are kind of useless except to put dirty cloths in. They sould delete one of them to put a shoulder strap on it and make it so it can stand upon its own.
