5.0 out of 5 stars Roger Rules !!
Roger (of Less Than Jake) has got a punk rock monster in him that cannot be contained by one band !! I GIVE YOU...REHASHER !! "High Speed Access To My Brain" has got everything you need. Fast, Agressive, Insightful Punk Rock accompanied by Killer Bass Riffs and a thrashing good sound that only Roger can deliver !!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but still a let-down
I was really excited when I heard that Rehasher was finally releasing another album after buying their first one and absolutely loving it. They released the first song 'turn around' before the rest of the album as a preview and became even more stoked, it became one of my favorite songs from them...but then I heard the rest of the album.

Now, the album is not...

5.0 out of 5 stars Let Rehasher Access Your Brain, December 20, 2009

Bottom line, Rehasher rules and this cd is amazing. I can't really say anything more. They've been a breathe of fresh air for me in the melodic punk scene, bringing back the mid-nineties skate punk/melodic punk sound and innovating it a bit. I can pop in this cd and literally listen to it 10 times straight through. no filler, just stellar punk rock on here. So what am I saying? Buy this cd!

This is a good follow up to "Off Key Melodies." If you like that, you're sure to like this. It's fast, straight forward, melodic punk rock. It you like Off With Their Heads and Dear Landlord, you'll eat this s*** up. This album puts you in a great mood and is nice to run to.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but still a let-down, February 15, 2010

I was really excited when I heard that Rehasher was finally releasing another album after buying their first one and absolutely loving it. They released the first song 'turn around' before the rest of the album as a preview and became even more stoked, it became one of my favorite songs from them...but then I heard the rest of the album.

Now, the album is not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, I just feel it's missing something. The first three or four songs on the CD are actually very good, but that's about where it ends. The middle of this CD is just mushy and doesn't sound great. On the first album, the music and lyrics were fast and ferious and meshed so well. On HSATMB though, all the parts just don't seem to lock together as nicely. There are points where all the instruments are playing super fast and roger is singing this flowy melodic line over it...it just doesn't work all the time.

Lyrically the album is ok. There is some good stuff, and some bad stuff. There are some songs where you can really feel the emotions coming through, but others seem less thought out and just words sung. The choruses of some songs are just one line repeated 4 times or so and leaves a lot to be desired.

One complaint(my only actually) I had about the first album is that I thought the other singer(I think his name is Jake) wasn't very good. On this album all but one song is sung by Roger, and I actually enjoy the song that he doesn't sing, so that's an improvement.

Standouts: Turn Around, My Compass Must Be Broken, No Eye In Team

To summarize: HSATMB is an ok album, but not great. All the parts of the last album are there, something just seems a little off this time. If you are just a casual fan of Rehasher, then i would not recommend this, but hardcore fans will still enjoy it. If asked to choose I would take their first album, off-key melodies, over this one 10 out of 10 times.
