Product Description

The water resistant, Microsonic Extra Rugged Ultrasonic Transmitter Collar is perfect if you have a very active pet that likes to get wet. While we don't recommend you let your pet take it for a dip in the pool, the MS-2A is fully immiscible for short periods of time and will continue to work even when wet. It will stand up to heavy rain showers and snow. The enclosed transducer (speaker) is much more robust than conventional open air transducers and will stand up to far more abuse. Fits most cats and dogs comfortably. Emitting a directional ultrasonic code, the collar automatically works with all High Tech Pet ultrasonic pet-controlled products, including all Power Pet electronic pet door models, Sound Barrier indoor sonic dog and cat fence and Yard Barrier outdoor sonic dog and cat fence. The collar's rugged and water-resistant construction helps prevent damage. One lithium battery is included and typically lasts around 4-month. Replacement battery is High Tech Pet model B-2430.

I have four animals and only one can use the door at this moment since I presently have four collars and three out of the four are not working. Great door but when the collars don't work- the door doesn't work so it doesn't make it a great product!! It makes it unreliable and untrustworthy. In addition- I do not leave the door activated if I am away from the house fearing it might trap one of my animals outside during the hot summer or cold winter months due to the collars tendancy to quit working.

This collar is not more rugged or water resistant than it's predecessor. Don't waste your money. Buy the earlier version and if you like me and have dogs that like water and get a little wet in the sprinklers, water proof it yourself. I have two dogs so I bought two. One is already broken from water damage and it hasn't even been a month. What a waste of money.

I've purchased two of these and four of the regular (not 'water resistant') and they are all equally terrible at resisting a day at the beach.
