Making of "A Thousand Suns"

Biography

A THOUSAND SUNS

We were not making an album.

We didn't know if any of those unorthodox ideas could be incorporated… Read more in Amazon's Linkin Park Store

5.0 out of 5 stars high voltage/points of authority, November 1, 2005
This review is from: High Voltage / Points of Authority (Audio CD)
As a major Linkin Park fan, I picked up their "Reanimation" CD and of course liked it... a little bit. The two songs on this LP, "H! Vltg3" and "Pts of Athrty", are from this CD and these songs aren't too bad.
1) H! Vltg3- This song was originally featured, along with "My December", as a bonus track on the Japanese release of "Hybrid Theory. It combines Mike's hard-hitting rap skills with Joseph Hahn's superb mixing skills and is the 2nd best track on the LP.
10/10
2) Pts of Athrty- Again, a "Reanimation" remix, this time, of Hybrid Theory's "Points of Authority". I liked the original better; however, the remix version is SO much better than the other track and thus garners my vote for best track. Relatively free of rapping, this song features Chester's voice talent beautifully. 15/10
Overall rating: Any fan of "Reanimation" has to get this LP. 12.5/10.
