Charlie Poole is a facinating musician and Loudon Wainwright III deserves a Grammy for this album. The musics great, and the book of history and lyrics, that are inlcuded is even better. I have owned the Charlie Poole three CD anthology "You Ain't Talkin to Me" for a couple of years. The songs are great, but so raw my wife and son run for cover when they see me putting it in the CD player. They can actually enjoy Wainwright's remakes of Poole's songs. Wainwright's original "High, Wide and Handsome" is a wonderful song. It os so good that the old time group I play with in Etowah, NC has worked a version for our next open mic. If we make any money, we will be sure to included Loudon.
