This album is intense! I found Highend on a local college radio station and immediately bought the album. I dont quite know how it would be classified... Its melodies are definitely jazz influenced. The thick and funky basslines flow perfectly With the somewhat complex yet, simple sound. A definite must have.

This is the album I've been looking for. It is PERFECT to leave on while entertaining or just lounging around. The track are not bland or repetative, and after a few listens, I found myself subconciously humming along with a few! I'm not good at describing music like the other fancy music critics, but I can say that I really enjoy this album!
***UPDATE: I've had this album now for quite a while, and it has made its way right up to the top of my playlist. Each song is fun, unique, and just plain perfect for lounging to. I've played it now at quite a few dinner parties and I always have guests asking about the songs playing. I love it so much I've even made ringtones and alarm wake-up MP3s from the songs for my cell phone! I hope they release more albums just like this one!

Listening to this cd for the first time today at work...it's perfect, not distracting, jazz influenced and mellow instrumental works. Belongs on a playlist with The Cinematic Orchestra and similar artists. This will get heavy rotation on my Zune! Great addition to the music collection, I just Love it!
