4.0 out of 5 stars Fine music for Sinatra's film debut, October 8, 2007

This review is from: Higher And Higher (1944 Film) / Step Lively (1944 Film) [2 on 1] (Audio CD)
"Higher and Higher" isn't a well-known musical, and that's a shame. I've seen the movie many times and I consider it tuneful, funny and very entertaining. The film is based on the Rodgers and Hart Broadway production and includes one of the legendary team's numbers. The Jimmy McHugh-Harold Adamson score is delightful, and Frank Sinatra is in fine voice.

The disc includes music from "Step Lively," with a score by Jule Style and Sammy Cahn.
