5.0 out of 5 stars Higher Calling, July 10, 2009
By Robin Hathaway (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
E.J. Rand's HIGHER CALLING is a gripping yarn. But what I remember best are the people--lively, complex, and always entertaining, they stayed with me long after I closed the covers.

5.0 out of 5 stars An edge of your seat read, June 25, 2009
This review is from: Higher Calling (Hardcover)
Higher Calling OK folks, you want a read that is fast and exciting? A book that you can't put down and when you have to, you just can't wait to get back to it? Well, this is it!

This book is very well written and has a lot of surprise twists and turns. A man who finds life and love after personal tragedy, read "Say Goodbye", and through a chance found love goes on to find life worth living again by participating in adventures that he thought he would never have.

"Higher Calling" is the third novel in the (Reluctant Sleuth) series and like the previous two it does not disappoint, it delivers a thrill by painting a story that if I had the capital, I would be the first to produce it into cinema.

Take my advice, take these titles to fly with, to go to the beach with, to just sitting around to read for a great intrigue and enjoyment.

You feel you just can't wait to get to the next word then chapter.

A great read.

I recommend all three novels in the series by E.J. Rand from Deadly Ink Press;
"Say Goodbye", "Perfect Cover", and now "Higher Calling."

I can't wait for the next one.
