Elephant Man : Higher Level,
By Sensimedia Network (USA) - See all my reviews

The Energy God AKA Elephant Man is back with his third album Higher Level. I have been following Ele since his first album Comin 4 You. And with each album he gets better. Higher Level surprised me because Log On was a hard album to top, But Ele tops it. The album is filled with about twelve prior riddim releases. But that doesnt hurt the album at all. Each of the 23 tracks is of the Highest Grade. Ele is at his best on tracks like Elephant Message, Run for Your Life, Give her it Good, Bumper and truthfully all the rest. Ele shows that he is poised to take over the Dancehall world with his Energy, Talent, and Wicked Rhyme style. The album does l se points on the tracks Bad Man A Bad Man and Bring Di Sittin Come because I could have lived without hearing Ele doing his R Kelly Impression and on Bring Di Stttin Come He is just a little too repetitive. But still this album is a Must BUY!!!! Ele defiantly is Taking Dancehall to a HIGHER LEVEL.9.5 Out of 10. Final Judgment : Blazin.

lower level!,

i don't think ele has reached a higher level with producing this cd. it is definitly not as good as log on and ele's coming 4 u.u can't compare it with these two, the beatz aren't that good, often even too nervous and almost similar to others on the same album. actually it's still a good dancehall cd, but you don't find these typical elephant man anthems (like "elephant man", "e-l-e-p-h-a-n-t", "shizzle my nizzle", "log on", "jamaica" etc.), exept "manabadman" and maybe "ele message" ... on the other ele-albums there were so many songs that u loved when u first heard em, but on higher level i don't feel like that. so i'm a bit disappointed, cause i expected something else. perhaps i hav 2 hear it (over) again, but my first impression is that i don't like it that much an that i can't see ele's higher level.

Yuh Dun Know, ZEEEN!!!,

This is one artist that deserves to be in the lime light with the same parallelism of Sean Paul. Elephant Man has been producing hits or years, and it's time that he gets the exposure that he so much deserves. From his cathcy hooks, tongue-twisting lyrics, and desire to break the molds in reggae, he is the complete package of what a reggae artist should be composed of. Definitely get this CD. It's worth every penny. Yuh dun know, fa shizzle my nizzle.
