This is an excellent book, and I'm enjoying reading it. This was written in 1933, and it is pertinent today as it was in 1933. On occassion the english is sometimes hard to read, and understand, but if you slow down, and re-read you'll have no trouble understanding the author's intentions.

This book is pre-Chopra, but says some of the very same things as he says today. This book is about healthy choices body-mind-soul. The author uses Jesus Christ as his example, but really uses the example as a person in context. Thus giving the reader some understanding that their are no written records of Jesus' teachings. He also gives the reader an understanding of the times in which the bible was written.

The whole book makes much sense on the ways to be healthy in body mind an soul. This book would could have been written by Deepak Chopra. I felt that as I was reading the book. A good book at a good price. Read The "Higher Powers of Mind and Spirit."

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, A must read, July 10, 2011

This is such an amazing book and truly a tool to have in your library. I love this author and i have had this book for several years now and continually go back to reference it. It speaks a lot on catering to the highest and best part of ourselves to fully realize ourselves and the nature of the spirit. There's no way to sum it up quickly in review, but it is very mystical in tone and is a nice read compared to a lot of new age stuff and self help that has a very clinical approach. This is a magnificent book and i recommend it to anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enlightening, January 18, 2012
I enjoyed reading this book and it's interesting how the author distinguishes the mind vs the spirit.
I recommended this book to my friends as well after I read. I believe the message in this book can help anyone whoever walk their life journey. If you enjoyed reading this book I think you might also enjoy The Suited Monk: A guide to life purpose and happiness, which also enlightens your Mind and Spirit.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Higher Powers of Mind and Spirit, January 1, 2012
This book was given to me as a gift for Christmas from a friend, and I could never thank him enough. One does not have to agree with every single thing but never deprive yourself of knowledge, especially the one embedded in this book. You wont regret this read!

This is one of the best books I have ever read in my life... it helps in lifting the veil regular men and woman have the the preconception of the mystic way of thinking. Because we need to know, instead of being told...
