Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

The first pedometer ever to incorporate digital motion sensor technology to ensure increased accuracy, the Highgear 20025 FitWare FM is a favorite tool of joggers and other results-oriented exercise enthusiasts. The device is completely self-calibrated: the user merely enters his or her age, weight, and stride, and the FitWare does the rest, with readings for calories counted, distance traveled (in 1/10 mile increments), and steps walked or jogged. In addition, the unit sports a working range of 1/10 to 6,210 miles and one to 99,999 steps, encouraging users to measure their progress over days, weeks, or months, making long-term training accurate and rewarding.

To make tough workouts more enjoyable, Highgear also included a built-in FM radio and added a pair of sport headphones to the package. The auto-scan radio features an FM range of 88 to 108 MHz and displays the selected station on the easy-to-read LCD display. Other valuable features include a chronograph with a 0.01-second resolution and 24-hour max time range; a rubberized surface that ensures a slip-free grip; a three-second backlight that makes for easy nighttime viewing; and a belt clip that securely attaches the device to your workout shorts. Plus, when not used as a training tool, the FitWare functions as an extremely accurate watch, with hour, minute, and second readings, an alarm, and 12- and 24-hour options. The FitWare FM measures 2 by 1.12 by 2.12 inches (W x H x D), weighs 1 ounce, and is backed by a two-year warranty on parts and labor.

1.0 out of 5 stars bad radio, worse pedometer, October 2, 2006
By
walker (New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Highgear Fitware FM Radio Pedometer with Watch, Alarm, and Chronograph (Apparel)
For $20 this looked like it could be a nice light radio for walking/jogging, with a bonus pedometer. The radio has no channel display, and the only setting is a reset button to go the bottom of the dial, then a scan button. When walking, it loses the station occasionally - luckily my prefered station is at the bottom of the dial, but if yours isn't this could be terribly annoying. As for the pedometer, it jumps by 10 steps just from clipping it on my waistband, and several times went zooming thru 20 or 30 steps when I was holding it perfectly still - thus worthless. I'm sending it back.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very bad deal, poor shipping and product, October 20, 2007
This Pedometer took 18 days to get here, upon arrival I discovered the FM Tuner didn't work and the directions were very confusing. The quality of the product was very bad. It is not worth $50.00. This is the first time I have been upset about a product from Amazon. I returned the item the sameday . I am worried about a refund from this company.

1.0 out of 5 stars Bust, February 6, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Highgear Fitware FM Radio Pedometer with Watch, Alarm, and Chronograph (Apparel)
Came with dead screen and dead batteries. Informed by company rep the product is very old product and probably used up life in storage. Replaced batteries [~$10], and still didn't work. Company only offered to have me return the item and they would jiggle around the batteries to establish battery contact. All in all, a $40 disaster. So I would recommending avoiding.
