I charged it from my USB port.

I guess that they would rather not admit that they had their brand name on this item.

Again, nice idea, bad execution.

My wife bought one of these from another retailer (not Amazon), and what a dissapointment. It is such a great idea, and looks good, but it just doesn't deliver. Charging it in the sun doesn't keep up at all. It never reached full charge. I charged it from my USB port. It fully charged but was unusually hot. The charge bled down in about two hours without being connected to anything. I considered opening it up and seeing if I could put another battery in it, but decided against that so we could return it untampered. I see most similar devices have so-so reviews except for one. I'm not going to mention the name of that yet until I can get one and try it myself. It is the only one which has 5 star reviews with more than just one or two reviewers. In fairness, it could be that this one was in storage so long that the battery went bad.

bought this with great expectations that it would get me out of jams and provide unlimited power to devices when outdoors, skiing, camping, sporting events, etc. Never got more than 25% charge and hasn't supplied any power to iphone or blackberry. Great idea, lousy execution.

At least some of the folks who bought these actually got them to work. I bought two from another retailer and neither of them would charge, be it from the sun or the USB cable.

Again, nice idea, bad execution. Oh well. If I could give this a zero stars, I would.
