We have only used the carrrier a few times, but it is made very well. The craddles for the bikes are cushioned, the velcro works great, and the swing arm works fine for 2 bikes.
My only con so far as compared to the similar Performance product I had owned is the lack of a way to secure the bikes from swaying. Unlike most other racks there is no where convenient to tie down the lower portion and they sway into each other and the vehicle.

This bike rack is very very good. The only downfall of this rack in my eyes is that the pin that attatches to the reciever was actually a threaded bolt and threads into a welded nut inside the rack. this makes it somewhat of a hassle when taking the rack off and putting it on again. I may drill out the nut to use a standard pin. The only upside i can see to the threaded bolt is that it makes it harder for someone to walk by and grab the rack off the vehicle when your not near it. For almost $50 shipped it was a steal, at $100 maybe not maybe a thule rack would offer better quality
