5.0 out of 5 stars An All-Time Favorite! Absolutely Great!
This has to be one of the best romance books I've ever read. I absolutely loved Lachlan and Juliet. How sexy he was! And both were so appealing, so beautiful, smart, and very dedicated to Lachlan's daughters. And what a wonderful plot! One of the reasons I loved this book - there was always something intense happening ... in every chapter, every page, every paragraph,...

2.0 out of 5 stars another one...
This book was just another Highland-romance, pretty American meets Scottish duke, type book. It wasn't really funny/interesting/sexy. By the time the pair gets into bed, you don't care anymore. The Duke has the worst mood swings, and "his" Juliet is just boring. If you're looking to just pass another 4 hours of your life- then this is the book. If you have more...

This has to be one of the best romance books I've ever read. I absolutely loved Lachlan and Juliet. How sexy he was! One of the reasons I loved this book - there was always something intense happening ... in every chapter, every page, every paragraph, every sentence, every word!!
But having read TRUE HEART first, I couldn't help thinking of the heartache Lachlan and Juliet would come to endure in a few years with their daughter Virginia. That hardly seemed fair to these wonderful parents.
I will truly miss this wonderful author's work!

There's no question in my mind, Arnette Lamb is (was) one of the best writers on Medieval Scotland. I've read them all and none can match her talent. All of Lamb's books reveal a vivid imagination, strong writing skills, and great entertainment. "Highland Rouge" is sensual, exciting, heart warming and truly entertaining. Lachlan is a wonderful character with multiple dimensions, being not only a consummate lover of women, but a lover and protector of wee lassies as well. Juilet was well developed and a perfect match for him. The competition between Lachlan and the sheriff towards the end of the book made me laugh, and I like that. A fun story, different from the usual stuff, and totally entertaining.

I've bought all of Lamb's titles and was waiting for her next one, when I learned that she had died. I thank her for her great talent, and the many, many hours of pleasure she has offered me through her works, and hope that she finds herself back in Scotland once again.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Highland Rogue he is, but a great father., December 9, 1998

Lachlan is the type of rogue that you really want to domesticate. But it is not to hard to see that he loves his lassies. Juliet has her job cut out for her, not only in finding her sisters daughter but in tameing Lachlan. It was a very fun read. It is on my shelf with the rest of Ms. A.L.'s book as a favorite to go back to again and again.
