Enthusiastically Recommended!, February 25, 2006
This review is from: The Highlander's Stolen Bride (Mass Market Paperback)
Rosalyn has managed to flee from her stepbrother again. While in London, she meets Derek at a ball. From the moment she sets her eyes on Derek, Rosalyn is intensely attracted to him. Derek is enchanted by Rosalyn as well. Deciding to protect her, Derek takes Rosalyn to his castle in Scotland.
Derek and Rosalyn explore their attraction for each other and their growing passion has no boundaries. But Rosalyn is not out of danger. Even with Derek taking on the roles of Rosalyn's protector and lover, they still have many obstacles in their path toward love and happiness.
The Highlander's Stolen Bride is a great book! It's hot, romantic and ever so suspenseful. Derek's desire and attraction to Rosalyn is intense. Rosalyn's longing for Derek is innocent but very passionate. I loved the fieriness of their romance!
I also enjoyed the story involving the supporting characters. They were complex and well-written, adding a great deal to the development of the plot and the main characters. I almost enjoyed them as much as Rosalyn and Derek.
The Highlander's Stolen Bride has a thrilling plot that is well constructed. I was curious and eager to find out who were the true villains. This latest installment in the Pleasure Seekers Series is terrific! I enthusiastically recommend The Highlander's Stolen Bride.

Emotionally Charged - Sensual and HOT!, February 3, 2006
This review is from: The Highlander's Stolen Bride (Mass Market Paperback)
As a long time fan, I'll say it again - `No one does sensual quite like Ms. George'! Between the dialogs or between the sheets, she sets the stage with emotionally charged reads with some of the most dynamic and memorable heroes and heroines that will remain with you long after you set down the book.
In the latest entry to the `Pleasure Seekers' series, the English Lady Rosalyn Carmichael is on the run from an evil step brother whose nefarious plan is to wed, then kill her in order to gain her inheritance. Along the way she is introduced to Derek, a highland laird who is the epitome of all her sensual dreams and the attraction between them is a mutual thing.
Derek is a member of the self proclaimed `pleasure seekers' whose rule in seeking pleasure was to never seduce a LADY or an INNOCENT. As both those attributes apply to Rosalyn, she is still an unbelievable temptation, even if she is English. When Derek thwarts a kidnapping attempt he offers his protection and brings Rosalyn home to his clan.
As the laird, Derek is expected to marry a longtime childhood friend and bind their clans together. Rosalyn has awakened a passion he'd never felt before and he would have to choose between allegiance to his clan or lose something more precious, especially if he can't uncover and stop the evil and danger that has followed Rosalyn to the Highlands.
Ms. George is a true genius at charging up the pages with steamy and sensually stimulating reads with ultra sexy heroes! This is a must read for those who like to see the cold Scottish highlands burn HOT!

Erotic and sexy, but not overdone. Bravo!, May 14, 2006
This review is from: The Highlander's Stolen Bride (Mass Market Paperback)
I've seen that some authors are writing hotter books, and having met a few I know that many of them are forced (or strongly suggested) by their publishing houses to write steamier novels. Some authors can pull it off. Others can't. Melanie George is in the former group. While I love her "regular" hot and spicy books, I found THSB just as engaging. She managed to make the story hotter, but not pornographic like many other writers do. I found the hero, Derek, to be a typical fantastic MG character. Her heroes truly are the best. And the heroine, Rosalyn, was just as strong and no-nonsense as her counterparts. These two characters are perfect for one another. Score another point for a winning book from Melanie George.
