A glimpse of what's to come, March 21, 2005
I have every Ragweed CD there is, and 'Highway 377' is the one that sneeks its way into my player far more often than the rest. It is a glimpse of the greatness that the group has accomplished and will continue to accomplish. When someone asks me where to start when it comes to finding Ragweed love -- I point them in the direction of this CD. Many of these songs that continue to feature heavily in concert -- even going so far as to re-record 'Alabama'. (For what its worth, I like this version better.) This is, in my opinion, the best Ragweed album to date.

Can't seem to get this out of my CD player..., July 5, 2002
This review is from: Highway 377 (Audio CD)
I had heard a few songs here and there from this band, but never really gave them that much of a chance. Then I bought this CD at a live show and haven't been able to bring myself to take it out of my truck ever since. Their prior CDs had not been mixed very well, so I didn't really get into them. But, this one is cleaner and very well produced. The result is one outstanding song after another. CCR takes "Americana", "Texas Music", or whatever you want to call the style of country music with a total absence of Nashville influence, and puts a driving rock beat behind it. Bands like Reckless Kelly appear to be a big influence. In fact, CCR even covers RKs "Crazy Eddie's Last Hurrah" on the new CD "LIVE & LOUD FROM BILLY BOBS" coming out July 9th.

Don't miss your chance!, March 11, 2002
This review is from: Highway 377 (Audio CD)
I heard these guys at a Pat Green concert a while back and have absolutely fallen in love with this band. My friends and I attend any CCR concert we can, and we often find ourselves travelling all around Texas. I bought this CD and have virtually kept it in my car stereo all the time. No wait, I take that back, I take it out of the CD player long enough to replace it with "Live at the Wormy Dog" another one of CCR's CD's. Highlights of this album are, "42 miles", "Alabama", and "Long Way Home." I am looking forward to the "Live at Billy Bob's" CD. Buy this CD and go to any concert you can, because these guys are going to be big, and you'll kick yourself for missing the opportunity.
