It's Rex. That voice -still the same (how can he still get so high?, still uniquely scratchy-smooth. Those lyrics -Reed, Simon, Townshend, Westerberg have nothing on him. My tastes have changed in so many ways, but I get the exact same thrill listening to Aztec as I did twenty-odd years ago. The only complaint I have is the same for any live performance: less talk please, more music!

Like me your first exposure to Rex & Neal was way back when on records and they sure did an excellent job. If you've seen them live you'll understand why this disc is an essential addition to your collection. The boys (especially Neal) sure can play. Their songwriting is exceptional and the perfect harmonies speak for themselves.
