Adventure and Romance,

This is one very entertaining, well-written little swashbuckler with great characters and enough action to satisfy even me. No dull spots just a lot of adventure and romance from beginning to end. Plan on reading it in one night because it is hard to put down.

The characters are undeveloped. She's saying she's in love with him when she barely knows him. Very unrealistic. Would not recommend.

There wasn't a ton of reviews when I downloaded this onto my Kindle, but I thought that the story seemed rather intriguing. I had visited Ireland a year ago, and traveled most of the island, so I was hoping to read a lot of the area in the story, but there wasn't any of that. Aside from that, the story was not too bad. You could tell that the female lead was going to be strong willed from the start. The relationship between the male and female leads were nice, but they fell into this love story a bit too quickly. I could feel it as I was reading it, however, I would have liked to have seen more progression in getting to the point of love, instead it seemed rather quick. Maybe it was due to word limits, but I had seemed to really enjoy the tension between the two characters more than when they were 'in love'. There was also a rather short section on the male lead traveling across the ocean to England from Ireland to rescue his true love, and the journey was quite short. (again, maybe a word limit?) I also had a hard time believing that this strong willed female had suddenly become this soft-spined creature after leaving Ireland to save her true love. I could understand her reasonings for wanting him to forget her and just do as she was told, but at the same time, I couldn't help but feel as though she had completely given up on him. To go from one extreme personality to another was insane to me,, and even the male character felt the same way I did. The other thing that was rather odd for that time period was how forgiving the Queen was when she found out that her favorite 'servant' (the main female lead) had a child with an Irish aristocrat that she made clear she didn't like. For that time period, she wouldn't have let them go, but would have made an example out of them.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the book, and I can let go of the non-historical aspects of the story and just read it for the purpose of what it was intended: fun. It's a cute story and easy to read, and again, it's strictly fictional. I do love the tensions at the beginning of the story, and wish it were longer as I think it would have made the book that much more to enjoy.

i loved the story. i loved the hero and the heroine. they would do anything for each other. even marriage could not keep them apart. the hero risked his life for her. she would do anything for him. but she will not brake her vows. her moral values are very high. this story will make you believe in love.

The "far off shores of Ireland"? From *England*? Someone needs to take some geography lessons before they write any more books.
