5.0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest pools of talent ever known.
The reason Kris was included in the band is that his songs helped make famous most of the other members. Example: JR Cash had a huge hit with Sunday Morning Comming Down, also Waylon had a major hit with Bobbie McGee and Loving Her was Easier...
Somebody once suggested to Willie that Kris was a bad singer, after they got him off the floor, they kicked him out of the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Kris who?
well, let's put it this way, i don't know how kris kristofferson got on the album...he certainly qualifies as a writer, but he sure does not have anything close to a memorable voice. And pitting up against/with willie, waylon and johnnie makes it even more apparent! The other 3 are fabulous, but unfortunately, this becomes more of a Smithsonian concert, than great...

4.0 out of 5 stars Not really a Highwaymen Album, May 14, 2007

2 Songs are real Highwaymen songs from actual Highwaymen albums where all 4 are in the song. The other songs are previous duets that they had previous recorded with each other. For example, The Ballad of Forty Dollars, is a previous recording that Johnny and Waylon did together.

This is still a good album showcasing 4 good friends and extremely gifted artists... I just wanted to make sure other people weren't thinking this was an actual Highwaymen CD

5.0 out of 5 stars The Marshall Law, June 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Highwaymen Ride Again (Audio CD)
The Highwaymen Ride Again is essential album for any pure country music fan. The combination of some of the industries greatest musical minds is essential for anyone that likes true country music. There are only four things I have to say about this CD: Jennings, Kristopherson, Nelson, and CASH (the man in black).

the first reviewer of this album has no idea what he is talking about. If he wants a showdown any time any where I will show him about the sword. Kristofferson is an excellent singer. It has been written.

Must have been a political decision to have Kris along. Too bad...it would have been a 10+ without him!
