My husband and I live in Ukiah and use Bob Lorentzen's "Hiker's Hip Pocket Guides" on a regular basis. The guide for the Mendocino Highlands is the only book that extensively covers hikes in interior Mendocino County and Lake County. You'll have a hard time finding another book that even includes 1 or 2 hikes in this region. This has been an indispensible guide - one that has led us to a number of amazing locations that we never would have found on our own. We've been on over a dozen of the hikes in this book and have never been disappointed. Every time we return home from one of the described hikes, I start looking through the book to find our next destination. I highly recommend this book. Thanks Bob!

Its a great hiking guide that gives countless areas and trails to go explore. If you live close by and enjoy the outdoors then this is a must have book.
