I bought this book some years ago, and we have used it ever since.It's an essential, regardless of if you have kids or not. The book is very knowledgeable, and makes hiking a breeze.Ilike that the book is broken down into regions, so when traveling or planning a specific hike we know what we are getting into. Recently I bought a used copy for a friend, because its just too good not to share. Best part is getting outside and spending time with those you love.
