Great product for someone looking to get started in the colorado wilderness -- but once you live here for any amount of time you'll find better hikes outside the text.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best, August 20, 2009
This review is from: Hiking Colorado, 2nd: A Guide to Colorado's Greatest Hiking Adventures (Paperback)
Disappointing, I have probably hiked a dozen and with the exception of two I wasn't that impressed. I have also hiked a few nice local trails not covered in this book. I am sure there are better hiking guides out there, but I have better luck learning about hikes from word of mouth or the internet nowadays.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book but the same as Hiking Colorado III, July 21, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Hiking Colorado, 2nd: A Guide to Colorado's Greatest Hiking Adventures (Paperback)
It's really weird that the title of this book makes it sound like it's the first of a series of three "Hiking Colorado" books (numbers I, II, and III). But, in reality, it's the same book as "Hiking Colorado III." I don't get it but I can tell you to not bother buying it if you already own III.

"Hiking Colorado II" is a different book from I and II so it's worth getting if you already own I or III
