How fun to be able to keep track of your various hikes. This is a great product. Excellent Quality.

This journal is great because its pages help jog the memory into writing more details than I normally would remember. The journal gives one two-sided page to each hike, with prompts such as City/State/Country; Date; Hiked With; Location; Route/Trails; Weather/Elements; Trip duration; Altitudes, elevations, conditions; Sightings/Terrain (wildlife, nature, views, etc); Gear, Food and Beverages; Physically and emotionally I felt; and Overall rating and comments. The pages are a creamy off white color and the lines are a comfortable distance apart. The pages take ink well and it's a pleasure to write in the journal. The front and back covers are made of a thick, very stiff board-type material, which makes the book too heavy (really) to take along on a hike or overseas trip. There are no pockets to hold souvenirs or old backcountry permits but things can be glued directly into the journal. Overall a good quality, sturdy, heavy hikers journal.

This is a great hiking journal, I filled up my first one and I just bought another one to log all my hikes. It's a good size with plenty of room to write a long description of your adventure. The only problem is the ring spiral part is a bit off. Sometimes it's a pain to open and close the journal because it does not line up properly. And on my second journal the metal spiral was actually bent out of shape but it seems to still operate properly. But once you get it open it's great, The best journal I have used so far.

I LOVE this porduct....I was planning on taking it with me on the hike and filling it out there I always forget to....this way when I go home and fill it out I can recap on all the memories (so far only done short hikes. Good keepsake!
