Book Description

June 1, 2000
This book describes in exacting detail 30 of the best nature walks and day hikes in New Hampshire's Currier and Ives region. Each chapter contains an easy to follow map, lowest and highest elevations, level of difficulty, clear trail descriptions and trailhead directions, photographs, and an overview of each hikes special features. Many of the hikes are ideal for families with children and there are also some challenging routes for the more experienced hiker in mind. Additional information on visiting old cemeteries, waterfalls, and natural and historical points of interest provide a full itinerary to round out the hiker's day. In this second edition there is an extensive appendix listing local hiking and non-profit conservation and recreation organizations as well as sources for trail maps.
