4.0 out of 5 stars A 10-year standard for our bed & breakfast guests, April 29, 2010
This review is from: Hiking Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness (Regional Hiking Series) (Paperback)
As a bed & breakfast located in Joseph, OR, at the base of the Wallowa Mountains, we have quite a few guests who hike in the Wallowas. We keep a variety of local hiking guides on our shelves and the Barstad guide (both this one for Oregon's Eagle Cap Wilderness and his guide on Hiking in Hells Canyon) are very popular with our guests. The information is succinct and accurate. Combined with a local Forest Service map, we don't worry about our guests getting lost or getting into hiking situations that exceed their capabilities. I regularly copy pages out of this book, put them in document protectors, and send guests out to enjoy their hikes.
