About the Author
Dan Brett is a cultural anthropologist by training, and a former Forest Service and National Park Service technician in Arizona and California, his articles have appeared in Backpacker, Country Back Roads, and California Blacksmith. He wrote Hike America: Northern California (Globe Pequot). He lives in McKinleyville, California.

Book was very informative as to where the trailhead was located, how to get there, how hard the trail was, used this in the Redwoods and what to expect to see. Would recommend for people not familiar per se with the area.
