With info on how she got started in acting, what her first roles were, her work for different charities, her love of animals, how she put together her album METAMORPHOSIS, and all of the stress that goes into making a movie/TV show. Also included, a day in the life of Hilary journal, quotes from the star herself, an interview with Hilary, fifty fast facts about Hilary, a quiz to see how much you know about Hilary, her life, her career, her family, and her friends, links to different Hilary Duff fan websites, and a special numerology chart that you can perform on yourself or your friends to see if you are destined to be Hilary's lifelong bud.

As someone who has read many books about Hilary Duff, I found this one by Nancy Krulik to be one of the best. She includes a lot of fun stuff for Hilary's fans to do, which will keep the interest of even the most reluctant reader, and features special bibliographies about Hilary's career, so her fans will know what other movies/TV shows they can check out to satisfy their Hilary craving. A must-have book for all fans of Duff.

Thinking I had already known everything about Hilary Duff that there was to know, I picked up this book just so I could have something to read.
And you know what? This book has the things I know, PLUS the things I didn't know!
This is one of the best biographies of Hilary Duff I have ever read.
It includes fifty fast facts about Hilary, from her favorite lip gloss to what kind of shampoo she uses, a list of all of her TV and movie roles, a list of all of the songs she's ever recorded (as of early 2003), websites where you can find things about Hilary, and my favorite, the "Are You A Duff Buff?" quiz!

I highly recommend this all Hilary fans of all ages and genders!

It includes lots of fun facts, a peek into a week of Hil's life, numerology fun, an interview with Hil's best advice, a few pages of coloured photos of Hil, fast facts, a "Are You A Duff Buff?" quiz, Hilary websites, a filmography, discography, and much much much more. Overall, I think that this book is a must have book for any Hilary Duff fan. It's really awesome, and has everything Hilary Duff. The 411 on her movies, lots of Lizzie stuff, stuff straight from Hilary, and much much more!

Dying to know everything possible there is to know about Hilary Duff, one of America's most famous teenagers? Well, this book may not tell you EVERYTHING, but it's a great start! "Hilary Duff: A Not So Typical Teen", targeted to ages 9-12, is about 150 pages, and includes an eight-page full-color photo insert. Like another reviewer has mentioned, it was written by Nancy Krulik, who is a GREAT celebrity biographer. Although I'm past the 9-12 age range this book recommends, I bought it one day at Barnes & Noble because I was feeling curious. So I read the book in about 30 minutes, and I was very pleased. You'll find out all about Hilary Duff- from her todler days; to getting started as an actress; to her days on "Lizzie McGuire", and now, her singing career. Plus, the book lists her upcoming movies and plans. At the end, there's a quiz with questions to determine how much you really know about Hilary Duff. You'll also find lots of cool facts and trivia. If you know everything that there is to know about Hilary Duff, you probably wouldn't find this book to be very interesting, but other Hilary Duff fans would agree that it's great! I enjoyed reading this book very much, and I think other Hilary Duff fans would like it too. Also check out "Hilary Duff: Total Metamorphosis," and "Hanging With Hilary Duff", two other great books about this talented teen.

Are you looking for a nice, detailed biography about today's teen queen, Hilary Duff? Look no further. "Hilary Duff: A Not-So-Typical Teen", is an excellent book for Hilary Duff fans. It was written by Nancy Krulik, and I've read many celebrity biographies she wrote, and all of them were very good. This one is no exception! It tells you Hilary's life story up until 2003- like how she got started in acting, her days on "Lizze McGuire", movies she's starred in, her singing days (including the release of her smash album "Metamorphosis"), what's ahead, and a quiz in the back to test how much you really know about Hilary. Plus, there are eight pages of cool color pics of Hilary! I bought this book two weeks ago, and I've already read it five times, it's that good! However, since the book is unauthorized, there might be a little false information here and there, so watch out. But I would say that this is a great purchase and an excellent, well-written biography.

It's a great book to read.I really enjoyed it.I couldn't put it down for a matter of fact.It has 16 chapters.It has pictures in it.If you are buying because your are Hilary's biggest fan (like me)and want to know all about her then you will really enjoy it.But if you are buying it for pictures of her than you might want check the Mary Boone books.They are really good books to and has Great pictures in thoses books.But I love this book even if it doesn't have that many pictures in it.You should this own this book.

This book has some cool pics of Hil. It also has detailed information and says lots about her personality. It'll take you on the set of her movies, and it even has a super duper Hilary quiz at the end. It tells about her life as a kid, and following in her sister's footsteps. It says some personality traits and ways to find your own.....your traits could be like Hilary's! Can't tell you more....better read this to find out!

I really enjoyed reading this book about Hilary. It gave a lot of information and detailed stuff about her life as a teen star. I also enjoyed the fact it has Hilary information and quizzes. I think that made it a better experience when reading. I admire Hilary and even her sister Haylie. I think they're both very talented. The only thing I did not like about this book was the cheap paper. Other than that, very interesting book, with a few colored photos.

This book is essential for Hilary Duff fans but watch out- it's not official so there are mistakes such as.......

MISTAKES!!!!!!

-Pg 7: Her middle name is wrong. Despite all the rumours her middle name is not Ann and we know this for a fact.
-Pg 57: Bonnie Hunt's character in Cheaper by the Dozen was not `Mary' but `Kate'.
-Pg 58: Piper Perabo's character in Cheaper by the Dozen was not `Anne' but `Nora'.
-Pg 59: The famous computer game `The Sims' is not spelt with 2 `m's.
-Pg 60: Hilary's song is not called `Voice in my Head'. It's called `Little Voice'. Also, her movie `A Cinderella Story' is not called `The Cinderella Story'.
-Chapter 12: In numerology Hilary's number is not 4 as her middle name is wrong. Her number is actually 2.
-Pg 87: Hilary is not 5'4". She is 5'1".

I love this book!!! i started reading it n i couldnt put it down! it has a lot of interesting facts n even color pictures. there r 12 pictures of hil and also aaron carter and haylie duff.
the back of the book has a list of web sites about hilary duff, hilary duff filmography, and discography. there r also 50 fast facts(did u know her fave food is okra?), advice from hil, and a quiz on duff stuff.
all hilary duff fans should read this book!!!! (even my brother likes it)
