Editorial Reviews

Product Description
There have been a lot of “firsts” in the life of Hillary Rodham Clinton . . . at Wellesley, she was the first student to give the class commencement address; in 2000 she became the first woman senator from New York; and she is the first former first lady to run for president. Endlessly interesting, often polarizing, Hillary Clinton has participated in most of the major events in American history since the 1960s. With photos and full-color illustrations, this is the perfect introduction for beginning readers to this fascinating woman.

About the Author
Laura Driscoll lives in Middletown, Connecticut. Judith V. Wood lives in San Bruno, California.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Children's Biography, October 7, 2008
Not sure the other reviewer even read the book! This is a nice children's biography of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic presidential candiate. It provides a good overview of her life and history. A very nice biography, easy to read, easy to understand and chockfull of good information.

1.0 out of 5 stars An Honest Review, March 7, 2008
I am not a typical Clinton "hater" or whatever you might be thinking. While I have serious reservations with the Clinton code of "crush-all" ethics, I am not at odds with 70% of their policies. I do not hate Hillary, I merely see her as a tried and true politician, with little in the way of admirable qualities.

This book is such a fluff-piece, it could not be worthy of your time. Like honest portrayals? Look elsewhere. If you want to affirm your blind love, it might be worth it. I have, afterall, went through that myself. We all have.

When you really want something to be so, you will find away. Unfortunately, the fact remains that you are essentialy reading Hillary's own self-constructed image, rather than anything real. You might as well read Harry Potter.

Let's keep it honest; lets not read "biographies" written by friends with interest. It is not going to give you insight.

Get Carl Berstein's, "A Woman In Charge"; or, Jeff Gerth's, "Her Way".

This is not worth your time, unless you like spending time intellctually insulting yourself.
