From the supplier: The book 'Georgia Scenes' is regarded as the seminal work of American literary realism. Although it appeared under a pseudonym, it is known to be the work of Augustus Baldwin Longstreet. However, one selection included in the book, 'The Militia Company Drill,' was written by Oliver Hillhouse Prince, using the pseudonym "Timothy Crabshaw." Because of the confusion over pseudonyms, Prince's role in the development of American literary realism has not been widely recognized.
