Does what it's supposed to,

These washers are a must for old plaster walls and ceilings. My house is over a hundred years old. Most of the plaster walls are in good condition, but now and then, some of it comes unkeyed. That is, the plaster comes loose from the lathe while remaining in good condition. I use these washers along with a drywall screw to resecure the plaster. I cover them with joint compound and the plaster is as good as new. The holes in the washer help to secure the joint compound to the plaster.
I know of now other product -- and no other source of the product -- that will solve the problem as quickly and easily. One suggestion: order plenty. The washers are cheap; you never can be sure how many you will need; and shipping and handling is high in comparison to the cost of the product.

Plaster helper,

These work. They are thin yet strong and the holes make sense. When putting up - take time to find a good stud behind the lathe.

Order a bunch,

These work great. I thought it would be a trick to cover them with plaster so they weren't visible, but they go pretty flat once you screw them in. The other reviewers have the right idea with ordering a bunch - we used more than we thought we would and they are impossible to find. Will re-order some just to have on hand. Shipping did take a long time though.

Worked great on my ceiling,

After one mis-step in my attic space, I have a place in my kitchen where the plaster on my ceiling had pulled away and was sagging down. These washers, used with standard drywall screws, worked great to pull it back into place so I could fix it. I was amazed.
My only comment, echoing other reviews, is to order a bunch of them. They're cheap and you have to pay shipping. Also, at least on a ceiling, you'll need a LOT of them since you'll want to put them in every few inches apart to suck the plaster back into place. One by itself in the middle of a weak spot seemed to break the plaster, instead of pulling it back into place.

very easy cheap way to re-secure your plaster wall to the lathes. I suggest this route before tearing it out or rocking over.

Stops cracks from coming back.,

Plaster cracks usually get worse, unless you fix them, and fixed cracks will reappear if you merely plaster over them. At the very least, you must embed mesh tape in the repair, but whether that's enough will depend on whether the plaster is still tight against the lath. To answer that question, press gently on the plaster near the crack. If it gives, the plaster has come un-keyed from the lath, and you need to re-attach it. These plaster washers, used with drywall screws, do that very well and permanently. I've used them for many years with no complaints.

Work fine but packages are all short some washers,

These did the job as expected but each package (of 4) was missing 5-8 washers. Ordered 100 but got around 75 or only 3 packs worth.

I thought these washers would be a bit bigger. They are about an inch wide. I was expecting 2-3 inches wide. They will still work for what i need.
