I've had a life worth's of experience with musical instruments of all kinds and wanted to share "the gift of music" with my 2 year old nephew with his first instrument. While the ukulele is no means close to perfect, its excellent for the money and I would definitely recommend it to friends as a starter instrument or a fun gift. Ships in secure, heavily cushioned packaging.

Good sound, very decent action, geared tuners, and a price that makes it accessible -- Hilo makes it hard NOT to take up the ukulele! This is a great model to begin on. I had no more trouble with tuning than I have with any other stringed instrument - all strings stretch for the first week or so. The geared tuners are a real bonus there; they hold tuning much better than friction tuners, which is what you usually get in this price range.

Very good Uke with a good look. Great price for a good product. Be prepared to tune your new uke after every few strums until you break in the strings (can take up to a month).

After an anxious waiting (1 month) I received my uke. To tell you the truth, I expected more from this uke. It's nice, but not well made. The sound is a little poor and it's hard to tune. As I'm not professional, no problems.
