5.0 out of 5 stars LONG TIME HILTI USER
I had to give my comments on this better than the best Hammer drill. I have been using Hilti tools for several years. 1.0 out of 5 stars not worth the money
I over-paid almost three hundred dollars for this drill about two years ago before the chuck snapped off. Batteries don't last long. Hilti wants eighty dollars to repair the chuck but for just a few more bucks I can get a Ridgid with a lifetime guarantee.

I had to give my comments on this better than the best Hammer drill. I have been using Hilti tools for several years. I am a semi Pro wood work enthusiast, own a few rental homes and remodel my own home, We do all the work and upkeep on the rentals too. I have owned at least one tool from just about every manafacturer that is in the tool business. I curruntly own several Hilti drill drivers and a couple of the battery hammer drills. My extensive background and experience allows me to review this unit fairly and with many years of other tools usage. I will admit the Hilti line is EXPENSIVE with a capital E. But as the saying goes you really do get what you pay for. So far I have not had one Hilti tool fail on me during extensive normal use. I mean daily use at one rental or the other or at home remodeling. The torque on these drill drivers is unbelievable for the size and weight of the unit. A test I do for Every drill driver, battery or electric, is to rate the finger pressure on the trigger and watch the rotations of the drill. The unit should spin very slowly and with more pressure more speed. A simple test, but you would be surprised how many manafacturers tools do not have the ability to do this. The reason it is important to me, this is how I gauge unscientifically the attention to detail that a manfacturer will into their tool line.Another test is the ability to make a straight line using a jig saw. Hilti again make their tools to such tolerances that I almost never have to make an adjustment in a piece of wood to make a straight cut. I find the HILTI line of tools the OVERALL best in the industry. Every company has a superstar tool, It's just that Hilti has a whole line of Superstars.
Thanks you

5.0 out of 5 stars Hilti Products are the best in the Business, December 7, 2009
This review is from: Hilti 227949 SFH 151-A 2.0-Ah Drill/Driver (Misc.)
I have recently purchased two Hilti products, the Hilti SFH 151-A cordless hammer drill/driver and the HILTI DCG 500-S 5" angle grinder. All I can say is that they are AWESOME! I had been a DeWalt user for many years but I have now converted into being a Hilti user. Yes, Hilti tools are more expensive. The reason being is that they are commercial-grade tools and not consumer-grade. They handle very smoothly, construction build is excellent, and function with utmost precision. Ignore my post, but just try out a Hilti tool and you will see what I mean... and why these tools are truly the best.
