Dramatic performances of Hindemith, Brahms, and Dvorak, November 10, 2006

I ordered this CD as I was beginning to learn the piano part for Hindemith's Trauermusik to play with a violist colleague of mine. Since I was heretofore unfamiliar with this work, it was helpful to me to hear it performed by professionals, not to copy them, but to have an idea of whether or not I was on the right track. The pianist and violist both perform all the selections quite beautifully, and I continue to enjoy listening to the entire CD. Now I am inspired to learn all the works on the CD that they played so well.
