5.0 out of 5 stars Hip Flask: Mystery City
This is definitely not your run-of-the-mill comic or graphic novel.

The story-telling and the artistry are awesome.

Maybee I'm not smart enough or classy enough, but I feel comics should be fun and mysteries should be mysterious. I personally got neither from this book. The art is beautiful but that's about all I liked. It might be me but I feel this was a case of a great image or idea trying too hard. How serious must you take a hippo in a trench coat? Perhaps if a serious subject was what the author wanted to address, then perhaps talking animals aren't the best forum. Just my opinion, not a comment the talent displayed creators, which I admit are very, very talented.
Not Grant Morrison or Moore. More like Image if it had a Vertigo-esque label in the 90s.
