Hip Hop for Kids was great fun for my kids. The dance movements were fun and well explained. The music was great and the energy high. It is no surprise this tape won a Parent's Choice Award.

A great introduction - popular with kids. (I tested it on about 30 of them.) If you don't know how to teach the latest hip hop moves, this video will do it. A minor criticism: the moves go a bit fast for some kids to pick them up, but you can always slow down or stop the tape and go over them.

Anyone who thinks this video is "not fun at all" has probably lost all connection to youth - KIDS think it's fun! (Did anyone force an adult to watch?)

I have been a professional dancer for nearly 20yrs, and I just started teaching my own Hip Hop classes. I started with Adults, but before I knew it I had a ton of kids interested. Obviously with the kids I had to take a different approach. I called on Hip Hop for kids to help give me some Ideas, and guidlines. After unsuccessfully buying it from a first seller I tried again from SJONES7274@CS.COM and was able to get the video. I sat and watched it with my wife and kids the other night and have to say I was totaly impressed at the overall energy level, style, and technigue the kids were taught. The kids themselves were very charasmatic, and good Hip Hop dancers. I believe I will be able to get alot of use out of this video, and recommend it for anybody looking for a good kids dance video. Even though the video is from 1996 I still found it to be up on some of the latest styles, and movement.

Kudos to Amazon.com! I found the reviews to be extremely helpful, and time saving. This video was just plain fun; my 7 year old kept asking me to rewind the tape. Yes, at first it was challenging keeping up with some moves (that is why they created the rewind button), but we had so much fun trying to imitate her favorite kid moves (Antoine, and Chi-Chi) that before we knew it we spent an hour just dancing and laughing. Needles to say she loves the tape, and can't wait to do it again.

I as at a friend of mine's house when her kids popped this little number in the VCR. Not long after, they were bounding around while I sat helplessly. Roger G. seemed to show how to dance with an oragutan, and the dancing kids showed only an obvious fraudelent enthusiasm. It was not fun at all.
