This is not what I was expecting. It's just like all the other rhyming dictionaries out there. Matter of fact, it actually has less pages and entries than a standard rhyming dictionary (only 184 pages). The only difference with this book is that it has "Hip-Hop" in the title and includes some expired urban slang words.

I know horrible is a strong word, but that is the category I would place this Rhyming Dictionary in. The best thing about the entire book is the title. First off, when I finally read the subtitle it had me scratching my head - For DJ's, Rappers and MC's? And I'm not one to prejudge, but it seems like this author is trying to capitalize on the Hip Hop Culture - which is NOT cool. There are TONS of great Rhyming Dictionary's out there that have much better content. My advice is don't just read this book by its cover title, if you want a good rhyming dictionary do a search on amazon and you will find one, anything can be better than this.

not sure what people expect - this won't write your hit song for you. but i write poetry to a beat, and then, setting it aside for a few days, i try to look at it as someone who isn't me. then i approve it -- using this book. the cool thing is, when i'm improving it, i get ideas for completely different things. and the intro about shapping a piece of work is worth it alone.

This was great for me because I always found myself using the same rhymes. It opened things up. It's easy to use, not like other rhyming dictionaries. Sometimes I just get a cool beat going and look through the book randomly and get great ideas on the spot. It probably could have more words in it, but then it'd probably be too big to carry around.

I mostly write rap, but I also cover other styles, and found this to be great for my hip-hop tunes, and for my other songs, too. It's versatile enough to cover all genres, and is really easy to find stuff quickly. I also like the tips in the front of the book, and the book is small enough for me to stick in my gear bag.

This book makes it so easy to write lyrics. I've tried other rhyming dictionaries and they are too convoluted. This is one of the best out there.

YO... ARE YOU SERIOUS? I CAN TELL THAT THIS AUTHOR IS A TRUE HIP HOP HEAD. IT SAYS ON THE COVER THAT THIS BOOK IS FOR RAPPERS,MC'S, AND DJ'S. GUESS HE DOESN'T KNOW THAT A MC IS A RAPPER, AND A DJ WHO USES THIS BOOK MUST OBVIOUSLY ALSO RAP. IF THE AUTHOR DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THOSE THREE WORDS HOW COULD WE EXPECT THAT HE WOULD WRITE AN ENTIRE HIP-HOP DICTIONARY WORTH A MINUTE OF MY TIME.
