Dr. Amstutz, the author, is one of the leaders in this field. I am a physician scientist, and I have delved pretty far into the literature on this subject but felt I needed more. I was willing to spend more than $200 for this book, and I was disappointed when it came. It is a slim volume that contains some good information, but you can get the same information by working hard with the scientific literature and talking to various experts in the field.

For this price I thought I would get more than this. I would recommend this book only for people who are not able to access the original literature (that is, the scientific articles written in medical journals). There is a wealth of information on the internet: just google on "hip resurfacing." Also see: http://www.hipresurfacingnews.com/

If you still need or want more, and you can afford it, then buy this book.
