Podcasts, live chats, YouTube, and twittering: New technologies are fundamentally changing how business gets done. And each day brings new ways to reach across generations and connect with business partners, clients, peers, and employees. For every seasoned professional ready to master these new communication tools-and keep up in the ever-changing, technology-driven world-this witty and immensely practical career guide shows what it takes to stay relevant to the business while developing the next generation of productive employees and leaders. Self-described red caboose Baby Boomer Lisa Haneberg profiles how hip and sage professionals are contributing wisdom and experience to create multi-generational workplace success by embracing change, being open to learning from younger techno-savvy coworkers, and putting into everyday practice the 3 Cs of hipness: communicating, connecting, and collaborating. A glossary of hip (which defines terms and industry products) and an introduction to New Technologies 101 give today's sages the tools to go viral and leave a lasting business legacy.
