From School Library Journal
PreSchool-A carefully selected collection of rhymes and finger plays complete with music, movement suggestions, and information for parents and caregivers on childhood developmental stages. The poems are arranged into three sections, from the very simple for newborns to the more complex for children 12 to 24 months to those for 2 or 3-year-olds. Filled with warm colors and appealing details, Lambert's watercolor illustrations pleasantly support the verses with a variety of closely focused vignettes and double-page spreads. The softly rounded people are of different ethnicities and both dads and moms interact with the babies. Schools with a preschool program may find this title helpful but public libraries will make the best use of it.Jody McCoy, The Bush School, Seattle, WA
