JoAnn Early Macken writes poetry, picture books, nonfiction, and novels for children and young adults. Her newest picture books are Baby Says "Moo!" I bought this for a lesson on hippos with my kids as most hippo books I found are fiction. This is a great book for facts about them and I have now bought several in the series as well as the farm series.
