3.0 out of 5 stars Music Of Female Photographers, May 13, 2002
This review is from: Hiromix 99 (Audio CD)
This is the first album of Japanese photographer icon Hiromix, a very young woman with a lot of gifts and talents making trendy pictures of everyday life of Tokyo, and of course her friends. Now, these nine tracks on her debut album are not as half as HIP as her pictures, the music is mostly hand-made (guitar/keys/drums), sung in Japanese with a sympatic Micky-Mouse-voice, and mostly uninteresting. It is too conservative, in a boring way, especially from HER we want to hear more freaky and innovative tracks. Let's hope that there will be a second, better album.
