Format: Hardcover
This volume comprises three essential areas: Sugimoto's architectural and landscaping interventions on the Izu Photo Museum in Japan, his study and reinterpretation/printing of fifteen heretofore unpublished photogenic images by William Henry Fox Talbot, and a collection of images from Sugimoto's "Lighting Field" project. The book is beautifully printed -- the reproductions are rich and luxurious, with nice density while maintaining wonderfully subtle tones (especially in the Fox Talbot images). The text in both Japanese and English is simple and informative with a subtle Zen restraint.
