the plant arrive in great time, in great condition, and with general care instructions. The Ming Aralia appears to be from good stock, and with some sunlight and watering, looks very healthy with great vigor. I would recommend this to anyone, and is one of easier bonsai style plants i've cared for

I almost gave up trying to grow bonsai trees until I bought a Ming Aralia. This plant takes care of itself. It reacts immediately to needing water or over-watering so you know exactly what the plant needs. It's also a beautifuly tree. Try it!

Plant arrived fast and in Great shape. No blemishes from shipping. Packed perfectly. Wilted a little after the first day, but added a little more water and quickly looked better in one day. Beautiful little Bonsai, easy to care for. Very Happy with! Recommended, especially while its so inexpensive. A+

Three healthy plants arrived in one plastic bonsai pot. Live, healthy green moss/liverwort combo covered the soil and gave it a park-like setting. Incredible for $20! The plants were approximately 8" tall, well watered and did not suffer from transport. I separated the 3 plants and only the one that remained in the original plastic pot survived. I removed the moss because I thought it may contain a fungus that was killing the trees. A year later(see the pics I uploaded), it is 14" tall, still sprouting new growth and is truly a tree in a pot.
Only 1 bad note...it had several earthworms in the soil.
I found that Miracid plant food, african violet potting soil, full morning light and afternoon shade worked best. Also, for humidity, no plastic bag. Put it in the bathroom while showering to liven up the plant.
I bought this plant October 2008, the mudman and pot may be different than those shown in the photos I posted.
Update- The tree died in fall of 2010. No apparent reason. Two years of fun and valuable experience for $20...still a good deal.

I was kind a hesitant to order live plant/tree online. But I still ordered the Ming Aralia Bonsai Tree at Hirt's Garden because it was so cute. I was shocked that it was delivered to me ahead of the estimated date. Plus the tree was well packaged. It even got a thing that keep the tree warm inside the box during the delivery. The tree arrived in good condition though there's a some broken stems due to the compression in packaging. But it's only minor, nothing to worry about. I immediately water and mist the tree, placed it near my window with a bright indirect sunlight. And it also got a small mudman included which makes the tree more attractive to look at. I now got my tree for 2 days and so far, it's looking good. Hope it will stay that way. The bonsai tree got the effect of a miniture forest inside a house. With a good price for this beautiful bonsai tree, I don't regret ordering it online.

Well to start, my Bonsai arrived way earlier than projected, so a bonus for that. I was not sure what to expect on the packaging. So here is a quick description of what arrived so you will know what to expect. The Bonsai was wrapped in wet newspaper for travel. The whole plant was alreay in a plastic pot along with the moss(ish). The rocks and mudman were wrapped in seperate bags. All of this was enveloped in styrofoam peanuts. All in all the plant was safe and sound, even though it was delivered on it's side. The wet newspaper did a nice job in keeping the plant and soil moist for shipping. I think this plant is well worth the money. I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to seeing this plant grow and sprout new life. I hope this review helps.

I bought this as a gift for my sister. She was very pleased, having told me several times how great a gift it is. It was a good price and sent very timely.

The tree arrived correctly packaged and with a heating pack to keep it warm during transport. The tree was placed oddly in the box and some dirt was lost due to that, but overall it arrived in great condition. Tree was healthy (Though wilted normally) along with the moss (ample amount). Overall, the seller had fast shipment and a great product. Negative: Care instructions are very general...

This plant arrived quickly and looked exactly like the photo! It was securely packed using wet newspaper, styrafoam peanuts and there was even a warming pack in the box since it is 20 degrees where I live. Well worth the price. I would buy again.
