Another great Hawkins compilation, July 23, 2005

Erskine Hawkins never was as popular as many of the other big bands. A listen to this career overview will have you asking yourself why. His rocking swing music stands up to any of the more popular bands of the era. Glen Miller certainly did well with Hawkins' "tuxedo junction". And "after hours" has become a jam session standard. Put this disc on your cd player, crank the volume, and in no time you'll find yourself signing up for swing dance lessons!
