Written with emotion so real you feel you are part of the story. Brings to light real family tragedies everyone can relate to in a touching and heartwarming way -- birth, life, death, anger, resentment, joy, fear, forgiveness, love........ Well written, easy to read, fast moving.Deering proves you don't need explicit language or situations to have a great book. You won't be embarrassed to have this on your bookshelf - great reading for the whole family.

Changing situations keep you turning pages,
By Voncille Shipley (Elmore City, OK USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: His Father's Son (Paperback)
In a few hours, Roger Gasden faces situations and makes decisions that turns his hate-filled past toward a future of joy with his expanded family.I liked the way Roy E. Deering kept me moving forward as his protagonist jumped from one crisis to another on a Christmas Eve far from home. Would he make the right choices? What would happen to the ones he loved if he didn't? I recommend this book.

Emotion-filled, up-to-the minute action,
By Voncille Shipley (Elmore City, OK USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: His Father's Son (Paperback)
In the space of a few hours, Roger Gasden runs the gamut of emotions to tie his hate-filled past to the promise of a bright future with his newly expanded family.I like the suspenseful way that Roy E. Deering led me along the sometimes torturous path that his protagonist followed as each new experience required a hard-fought decision. The story reflects life in our day of divorce when children are involved. |
